Finnish snowscooting since 2004.

Laidback...

Little taste of South Savo

Good stuff this weekend! Check out some shots from the gallery!!!

This could take all night…

Make my way back home and learn to fly… Just like Foo Fighters put it!

Going to get some lights and shovels from Henkka’s cabin! Necessary? No. Stupid? Maybe. Fun? Hell yeah!!!

This snow dump is ridiculous… And these four wheel slides are even worse!

EDIT: Never made it to the cabin, a little too much of that white stuff, added with a luxurious automatic transmission and brand new winter tires kinda sealed the deal… Subaru, sponsor us, please? :D

Rumble’s over – and still going strong!

So the official Rumble at Ski Tornimäki is over, but we’re still making a hassle with Mikkeli’s nightlife. The contest was tight, as the Rockstar / Dropin Shop ranked the contenders with only percent margins! We saw backflips, 360’s, tailwhips, 180 degree 4 meter transfers, bonks, 3whip attempts, everything! Rockstar’s Moustache-Master, Mr. Ramsay gave away hundreds of Rockstar drinks, and we gave away our latest design in the t-shirt form… So, here you go:

Resistenza Rumble 2010 Top3

1. Henri Heiskanen, Resistenza.FI, Insane Toys team rider

2. Jesse Kuusi, Tampere 03 area

3. Mikko Nieminen, Jyväskylä

The winner would’ve won a Resistenza t-shirt and a complete checkup and maintenance of snowscoot boards at Savon Suksistudio, the number #1 place for getting your wax on… Henkka already had the Resistenza SoSavo 50100 (which will be announced officially in Resistenza Store on monday) and get’s his boards pimped at Suksistudio, so he gave away the grand prize to Jesse!

Resistenza would like to thank Tuomas&Aki from Savon Suksistudio, Juha&Mika from Offshore for the free tryout snowscoots, Keke&Markus and the rest of the crew at Ski Tornimäki, Rockstar Energy Drink, and of course our judges from the Dropin Shop!

Keep your eyes open, we’re going to put up a halfpipe contest soon… Go check today’s gallery!!!

Monday Pow

Today’s goal is to check out two resorts that no one seems to know anything about, and visit Uuperi near Kotka for some fresh powder! There ain’t much but still enough to enjoy after a long break – I’ve had the flu and some serious hassle for the last two weeks, but today even the crispy -18C / 0F weather can’t hold me back anymore!

Uuperi seems like really nice place, and I truly hope that we’ll be able to put a flag on top of their resort too – that’d be the southeasternmost resort in Finland to allow snowscoots. Remember to check out our guaranteed resort map from the sidebar, there’s a ton of resorts that we’ve been to and which are snowscoot friendly. And if there’s more, we’d be happy to hear and add them on the map!

Vodka and videos

That’ll be possible real soon. You might want to keep your eyes open in Mikkeli in the future while sippin’ that vodka Collins…

Snowscoot goes Nitrous!

Tomorrow night Travis Pastrana’s Nitro Circus will be aired with an episode containing some serious action on the slopes – they’ll be testing some slopecycles and of course, snowscoots. Maybe this’ll lead into a snowscooting frenzy in the US too? After all, when a TV series is hosted on MTV it gets a “moderate” amount of viewers and targets young people, the most probable snowscooting generation extremely well…

Personally, I’ve been totally psyched about Nitro Circus for a couple of weeks now, and while you’re sitting on your computer waiting anxiously for the latest episode, you can check out all the earlier episodes.

Golgoht.

As we mentioned some time ago, there really was a finnish snowscooter in Nissan Outdoor Games. But the lift personnel in Chamonix got a little bitchy, and wouldn’t let Pouta ride the ski lifts! :D Anyway, check out the Team Golgoht videos from the last two competitions.

Absolutely sick…

When you got nothing to do, the full moon’s keeping you awake, you end up finding all kinds of interesting stuff – and this time even I got the adrenaline rush from this clip!

It’s Christmas allright…

Couple of beers, good friends, great movies and big plans for future inspired by creative riding lines. Getting that vibe on again, so we decided to head over to Ruka right after New Year’s!
It’s gonna be Henkka, Nasty, me and maybe Pouta – luxurious (free!) accommodation is provided by Pekko, our inside man up north.
And please, if any of us ever starts to look like Joe Sexton, shoot us! :D
